Guests can enjoy exciting river cruises and bush drives, immersing themselves in nature and getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. the rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. the friendly and attentive staff ensure that every need is taken care of, while the delicious breakfast served each morning is the perfect way to start the day. the view of the river from the lodge is simply breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the place.

The lack of additional heating units in the rooms during winter months may make for a chilly night's sleep.

This hotel is a luxurious haven in the midst of the Karoo wilderness, with exclusive amenities that fulfilled all of our needs for relaxation. the stunning swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens provided a peaceful escape, while the elegant rooms with private facilities and high-end toiletries offered a comfortable and indulgent stay. the restaurant's menu was exquisite, showcasing the flavors of the region, and the attentive service made us feel like VIPs.

The only minor issue we encountered was a lack of seating in the outdoor dining area during peak hours. the hotel promptly resolved the situation and provided us with a cozy lounge area where we could savor our meals and drinks in comfort.

Nestled between the mountains, overlooking the river, this small game lodge was a pleasant surprise. The Karoo scenery was lovely, and the personalized service and hospitality were fantastic. The horse ride and game drive were great fun, and we enjoyed watching the meerkats and horses roam freely. Best of all, the food was delicious, and the chef took the time to interact with all guests, making each meal unique.

The dirt road leading up to the lodge could be challenging for some vehicles, and the property was quite angular and not very rustic. , while the idea of communal dining was nice, it felt a bit forced, and some guests did not appreciate the lack of menu options.

The game reserve was in a great location, nestled between stunning mountains and with a beautiful river view. We were also impressed by the variety of activities offered, including game drives and horse rides. the food was delicious and the chef was amazing.

Our Christmas stay at this hotel was not what we expected. the lack of air conditioning made the rooms extremely stuffy and hot, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
